Aboca Names Jan Linnemann as Germany Country Manager to Drive Growth
Aboca, an Italian producer of natural health products, has appointed Jan Linnemann as its new Country Manager for Germany. The company, which has seen steady growth in the country since 2016, aims to further expand its presence under his leadership. Linnemann brings extensive experience in pharmaceutical and natural health sectors to the role.
Founded in 1978, Aboca is based in a small Tuscan town and specialises in innovative, plant-based health solutions. The company grows around 70 medicinal plants across 1,200 hectares of organic-certified land. It also handles all research, development, and production in-house, ensuring full control over quality.
Linnemann took charge of Aboca's German operations in mid-January. His career includes over 14 years in senior management at Medice, a pharmaceutical company, as well as a role as managing director at Quiris, where he led marketing and sales. He has also worked as an independent consultant in the healthcare industry. Since launching its German subsidiary in October 2021, Aboca has grown its revenue from around €5 million in 2017 to over €25 million by 2025. The company now holds roughly 8-10% of the herbal supplements market in Germany. Recognised under Italian law as a Benefit Corporation, Aboca balances business goals with social and environmental responsibility.
Linnemann's appointment comes as Aboca strengthens its position in the German natural health market. The company's organic farming, in-house production, and commitment to sustainability remain central to its growth strategy. His leadership will focus on driving further expansion in the region.
