A safety awareness event took place at Magadan’s Lyceum No. 14 as part of the regional campaign 'Safe Summer'. The day included activities to teach children about road safety, healthy living, and avoiding harmful habits. Traffic police officers led a live demonstration of a patrol car. They showed the children how specialised police equipment works. The young participants were also given the chance to look inside the vehicle and sit in the driver’s seat.

A mobile 'Safety Lab' station was set up for the event. Here, children solved riddles and reviewed road signs to test their knowledge. Major Svetlana Dugayeva from the regional Drug Control Directorate spoke about the risks of drug use and promoted the 'Time of the INdependent' campaign.

The event was a joint effort by traffic police, the regional Drug Control Directorate of the Interior Ministry, the Emergency Ministry, and the 'Yunost' Youth Center. The activities provided hands-on learning about road rules and healthy choices. Organisers hope the lessons will help children stay safe during the summer months. The campaign continues to reach schools across the region.
