Kuwait Honors Nepali Society for Lifesaving Blood Donation Drives

Tamu Society Kuwait has received official recognition for its blood donation efforts. The honour was awarded on World Blood Donor Day by the Kuwait Ministry of Health. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the Nepali community in the country. The society has been actively organising blood donation drives for the Nepali community in Kuwait. Its consistent work has placed it among the top ten most active donor groups nationwide.

More than 500,000 people in Kuwait had donated blood and platelets by 6 June this year. Officials called blood donation a 'gift of life' that saves lives and strengthens solidarity across communities.

Former president Khop Gurung was also honoured for his contributions to community service and blood donation initiatives. Tamu Society Kuwait expressed gratitude to all volunteer donors, media representatives, and supporters for their role in the success. The recognition highlights the society’s dedication to humanitarian causes. It has encouraged continued participation in charitable activities. The group remains committed to supporting blood donation efforts in Kuwait.
