Free fertility consultations bring hope to Magadan's aspiring parents in 2026

Specialists from EmbryLife recently visited Magadan to provide reproductive health support. Anastasia Denisovna Alekseeva led free in-person consultations on 20–21 April 2026. The sessions offered guidance to local women on fertility treatments, including frozen embryo transfers. Infertility affects many Russian couples. One in six or seven struggles to conceive, with causes often split between partners. Male factors contribute in 50–60% of cases, while female factors account for 40–50%. In 20–30% of cases, both partners face fertility challenges.

A diagnosis follows 12 months of unprotected intercourse for couples under 35, or six months for women over 35. IVF treatment is available under mandatory health insurance for those with confirmed infertility. In 2026, 17 women from the Kolyma region were approved for this coverage.

During Alekseeva’s visit, five women received advice on frozen embryo transfer. Another five were recommended for further tests and laparoscopic surgery. Residents can also access free online consultations with EmbryLife’s St. Petersburg-based specialists. The consultations in Magadan provided direct support to women exploring fertility options.
