Primorsky Krai cracks down on unregistered livestock amid disease risks

Authorities in Primorsky Krai have already exceeded the total number of warnings issued in 2025 for refusing to vaccinate or register farm animals. By June 15, over 230 warnings were recorded for violations of veterinary regulations. A working meeting recently addressed the growing concerns over epizootic safety in the region. On June 15 alone, inspectors issued 11 warnings for failing to comply with preventive measures or register livestock in the 'Khoriot' system. Among the cases, farmer B.I. Nurmotov from Pavlovka received a warning for blocking access to 69 head of cattle meant for leptospirosis vaccination and registration. The same farmer also brought 72 head of cattle onto his farm without notifying authorities or securing the required certificates. Additionally, he transported 86 head out under similar violations.

Another warning was given to Kh.Kh. Amonov from Grigoryevka. His farm was missing 24 head of cattle despite active restrictions due to a confirmed animal disease outbreak. In response to the rising violations, Rosselkhoznadzor has intensified outreach campaigns to educate farmers on complying with veterinary rules. The surge in warnings highlights ongoing challenges in enforcing veterinary regulations. Officials continue to push for stricter adherence to prevent further epizootic risks. The region remains focused on improving compliance through education and monitoring.
