India's First Doctor-Led Brain Wellness Programme Launches for Seniors

Dr. Sweta Sahu has launched India’s first doctor-led brain wellness programme for seniors. Called ActiveMind Daily, it aims to support cognitive health through simple, daily activities. The initiative is now inviting its first group of participants. ActiveMind Daily is a 10-day pilot programme designed for 50 founding families. Each day, it provides a short activity focused on memory, language, attention, reflection, or family connection. The programme follows evidence-based public health guidance from the WHO and the National Institute on Ageing.

It fits naturally into Indian family routines and does not require seniors to use screens. Dr. Sahu, a physician with experience at Johns Hopkins, the Cleveland Clinic, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, leads the initiative. She is joined by co-founder Dr. Sri Sravya Thungathurthi, a specialist in healthy ageing and preventive medicine.

Families can start with a free 30-second brain wellness check and try three sample activities at no cost. Alternatively, they can register directly through the programme’s website, activeminddaily.in/check. The pilot is open now, with space for only 50 families in the first batch. It offers a simple way for seniors to engage in daily cognitive exercises. The programme’s structure and expert backing aim to make brain wellness accessible and practical.
