New Chief Physician Faces Crisis at Tukalinsk Hospital Amid Legal Battles
Tukalinsk Central District Hospital has faced mounting legal and financial troubles in recent years. Margarita Berezina took over as chief physician in May 2025, stepping into a role shadowed by ongoing disputes. Legal action against the hospital’s former leadership began in October 2025. The predecessor of Berezina was accused of abuse of office, with alleged damages reaching around 800,000 rubles.
By June 2026, the hospital’s financial strain became more visible. Enforcement proceedings were launched against it on 22 June 2026. The creditor, the Interdistrict Tax Inspectorate No. 1 for Omsk Oblast, pursued a claim of over 12.07 million rubles. This debt was categorised as a tax linked to a negative balance in the Unified Tax Account.
The hospital also faced a surge in legal challenges. In June 2026 alone, five lawsuits totalling more than 2.26 million rubles were filed against it in the Omsk Oblast Arbitration Court. Earlier entries in the enforcement database for 2025–2026 showed smaller claims, none exceeding 100,000 rubles. The hospital now grapples with a combined debt of over 12 million rubles and multiple pending lawsuits. Berezina’s leadership follows a period of legal and financial instability, with the tax authority as the primary creditor.
