Adisseo Updates Microvit Nutrition Guide for Precision Livestock Feeding

Adisseo has released an updated version of its Microvit Nutrition Guide for feed manufacturers. The new edition offers detailed vitamin supplementation recommendations across 18 animal species and 35 developmental stages. The company, which has produced vitamins for over 70 years, aims to support precise nutrition in livestock and aquaculture.

The guide covers both fat-soluble vitamins (A, D3, E, K3) and water-soluble vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12, and C). It also addresses key factors influencing vitamin needs, such as growth rates, immune system demands, and heat stress. Feed processing conditions—like high temperatures and extended heat treatment—are highlighted, with adjusted dosage recommendations to prevent vitamin degradation.

Among the 18 species included, 12 are farm animals. Poultry (broilers, layers, turkeys), pigs (sows, piglets, growers, finishers), and ruminants (dairy cows, beef cattle, calves) receive tailored guidance at each life stage. The same applies to rabbits (does, kits, growers) and fish (salmon, trout from fry to harvest). Adisseo's recommendations draw from 30 years of scientific and technical research, combined with the company's own studies. With six research centres and production sites in Europe, the U.S., China, and Thailand, the firm serves around 4,200 customers in over 110 countries. Its global team of more than 3,000 employees supports the development and distribution of these guidelines.

The updated Microvit Nutrition Guide provides feed manufacturers with science-backed vitamin recommendations. It accounts for species-specific needs, processing challenges, and environmental stressors. The guide is now available to Adisseo's worldwide customer base.
