Altai's Children's Hospital Gets Life-Changing Upgrade for Rare Disorders

A children's hospital in Altai is set for a major upgrade thanks to a partnership between Sberbank and Manzherok resort. The project will introduce cutting-edge medical technology and fully renovate the facility. Once complete, it will specialise in treating children with complex conditions like musculoskeletal disorders, cerebral palsy, and autism spectrum disorders.

The modernisation plan includes a full overhaul of the hospital's infrastructure. A new gas boiler plant will be built, while the material and technical base will receive significant improvements. Sberbank has already supplied a modern bus to transport patients and staff, easing logistical challenges.

Manzherok resort will contribute 23 pieces of advanced medical and rehabilitation equipment. This includes six specialised machines for treatment and 17 units of physiotherapy and exercise equipment tailored for children with cerebral palsy. The new technology will have no equivalents in the region, setting a higher standard for care.

Sberbank's leadership has also made personal donations to support the project. President Herman Gref has expressed hopes for a swift completion in collaboration with the Altai Republic administration.

The upgrades will allow the hospital to treat around 1,200 children with psychoneurological disorders each year. With modernised facilities and unique equipment, the hospital aims to provide specialised care previously unavailable in the region. The project marks a significant step in improving healthcare access for vulnerable children in Altai.
