Deux Reinvents Cookie Dough as a Vitamin-Packed, Guilt-Free Snack

A new kind of cookie dough is making waves in the snack world. Deux, created by Sabeena Ladha, offers a healthier take on the classic treat—packed with vitamins and free from processed sugars. The product even caught the attention of investors on Shark Tank, though no deal was struck in the end. Sabeena Ladha grew tired of swallowing countless supplement capsules every day. Instead, she developed Deux, a cookie dough enriched with essential nutrients like zinc. A single jar of chocolate chip flavour contains as much zinc as three pounds of chickpeas.

The dough is gluten-free, vegan, and avoids refined sugars, preservatives, and animal byproducts. It can be eaten raw as a snack or baked into cookies. Major retailer Whole Foods took notice, agreeing to stock Deux in 40 of its stores. Ladha, who once lived in Dallas before moving to Los Angeles, pitched her business on *Shark Tank*. She asked for $300,000 in exchange for a 10% stake in Deux. Investor Robert Herjavec made an offer—$300,000 for 15% equity—but she walked away without accepting.

Deux remains available as a guilt-free indulgence for cookie lovers. The product’s approval by Whole Foods gives it a strong retail presence. Meanwhile, Ladha continues to grow the brand without a Shark Tank partnership.
