A violent attack unfolded in Göttingen on Monday evening when a 52-year-old man turned on emergency responders. The incident left a paramedic and two police officers injured before the suspect was finally taken into custody.

The disturbance began after paramedics arrived to assist the man, who initially seemed helpless. Without warning, he became aggressive and assaulted a 28-year-old medic. Police were called to the scene, but the suspect resisted violently, injuring two officers in the process.

A breath test confirmed he had high blood alcohol levels. Authorities also believe he may have been under the influence of other substances. Despite his arrest, the man remained hostile, issuing threats to officers while in custody.

Following the attack, a judge ordered a blood sample and ruled for the suspect's transfer to a psychiatric facility. Investigations into assault and resistance against emergency personnel are still underway.

The suspect now faces legal proceedings after the unprovoked attack on first responders. His blood sample results and psychiatric evaluation will form part of the ongoing case. The injured medic and officers continue to recover from the incident.
