A one-day seminar on gut health, titled Holistic Strengthening of Gut Health, will take place in Meiningen on Sunday, November 16, 2025. The main event is open to people with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or sensitivity. Funding comes from health insurance through self-help programmes in Thuringia and Bavaria.
The seminar runs from 9:00 AM to around 4:00 PM at Kombinat Meiningen (Nachtigallenstr. 13). Topics include lifestyle and health principles, medicinal herbs, gentle movement exercises, and Kneipp hydrotherapy. Participants will also learn about gluten-free snacks.
The event is organised by the Living Without Grains self-help group, the Celiac Group of Rhön-Grafeld, and health educator Luise Ute Baumbach. Dr. Anna Schmidt's practice for holistic medicine is also involved in planning.
Attendees must cover their own meal costs, though a vegetarian soup and homemade gluten-free bread will be provided for lunch. Spaces remain available for those interested in joining.
The seminar covers venue and speaker fees through health insurance funding. Organisers aim to support individuals managing gluten-related conditions. Registration details are available through the self-help groups involved.
