IdeenExpo 2026 returns with hands-on science and innovation in Hanover
From June 20 to 28, 2026, the IdeenExpo will return to Hanover, inviting young people and visitors to dive into the world of science and research. The event promises hands-on experiences across fields like renewable energy, robotics, and sustainable design. Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences will be there, showcasing its latest innovations under the motto ‘Just Give It a Try’. Ostfalia’s exhibits will occupy around 500 square metres in Ideenhalle 7, part of the Digital Worlds theme area. The university will present 18 interactive displays, all centred on energy, sustainability, and digitalisation.
Six faculties will take part: Civil Engineering, Water and Soil, Electrical and Information Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Supply Engineering, and Transport, Sports, Tourism, and Media. Central university services, including the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office and the Central Student Advisory Service, will also join the booth. The event encourages visitors to engage directly with experiments and demonstrations. Organisers aim to spark curiosity by letting people test ideas for themselves.
The IdeenExpo runs for nine days, offering a mix of education and entertainment. Ostfalia’s participation highlights its commitment to practical learning in key technological fields. More information is available at www.ideenexpo.de.
