The Komi Science Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences will mark Russian Science Day with a series of public events in February. Open House Days will give visitors rare access to laboratories, expert lectures, and interactive workshops. The programme includes activities for families, school groups, and anyone curious about scientific research.

The celebrations begin on February 5 at the Institute of Physiology, where attendees can join guided lab tours and psychophysiological tests. Lectures will cover topics like 'The Heart's Electrical Portrait' and 'Atoms and Health'. The following day, February 6, the same institute will offer tours of the Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology Lab, discussions on sports nutrition, and further psychophysiological demonstrations.

Additional tours of the cardiac physiology labs will run on February 10 and 11. Throughout the events, leading researchers will lead workshops and showcase rare scientific artefacts. Unlike other institutes in the Ural Branch, the Komi Science Center is the only one hosting such a wide-ranging public programme for Russian Science Day.

The Open House Days provide a chance to explore cutting-edge research firsthand. Visitors can engage with scientists, tour specialised labs, and learn about health, physiology, and technology. All activities are free and designed to welcome people of all ages.
