Free free people cooking demos focused on heart-healthy meals will take place in February at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center. The sessions aim to teach simple, nutritious recipes while offering samples and educational materials. Registration is required for all attendees.
The first demo, Meal Prep 101, runs on Thursday, February 8 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Participants will learn to make crispy tuna patties, creamy tuna pasta, and stuffed sweet potatoes. Each attendee will take home free free games, recipe cards, and handouts.
The second session, Cooking for Kids, is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It features veggie-filled wraps and Valentine cookies, with a requirement that children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
The final demo, Hands-On Cooking, takes place on Thursday, February 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will prepare Shakshuka and a guilt-free dessert under guidance. Similar free cooking events will also be held at other locations, including the Boston Heart Health Center on February 10, the Chicago Wellness Hub on February 17, and the Los Angeles Nutrition Clinic on February 24.
The demos provide practical cooking skills and resources for heart-healthy eating. Those interested must register in advance to secure a spot. Free samples, recipes, and educational materials will be available at each session.
