Man's body recovered from Korai River after mysterious disappearance
The body of a 60-year-old man was pulled from the Korai River in Barishal Sadar on Saturday morning. Sabuj Hawladar, a resident of Dakshin Durgapur village, had been missing since Friday afternoon. Authorities are now working to determine the cause of death. Sabuj Hawladar was last seen leaving his home in Chandpura Union on Friday. When he failed to return, family members reported him missing. His body was later discovered floating near Rajarchar at around 6:00am the following day.
A preliminary check found no visible injuries on the body. It was then taken to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital for a full autopsy. The procedure, which typically lasts between one and three hours, will help clarify how he died. Once the examination is complete, the body will be released to Hawladar's family. He was the son of the late Abdul Aziz Hawladar and lived in Dakshin Durgapur village.
The autopsy results will provide further details about the circumstances of Sabuj Hawladar's death. His family will receive the body once the procedure is finished. Local authorities continue to investigate the incident.
