Mother delivers twin boys in BMW during frantic hospital dash

A mother from Staffordshire gave birth to twin boys in the front seat of her partner’s BMW while rushing to hospital. Chloe Weston had planned a scheduled C-section, but her waters broke a week early, leading to an unexpected delivery on the road.

The twins, Koah and Kyro, arrived just a minute apart and were later wrapped in blankets donated by a stranger before reaching Queen’s Hospital Burton. Chloe Weston’s pregnancy took an unexpected turn last November. At an appointment on the 14th, doctors confirmed the twins were in breech and transverse positions. This led her to opt for a planned C-section to ensure a safe delivery.

However, her waters broke a week before the scheduled procedure. With no time to reach the hospital, she gave birth in the car. Despite the unusual setting, Weston later said the experience felt easier than a hospital birth.

Koah arrived first, weighing 6lb 4oz, followed a minute later by Kyro at 5lb 2oz. After the birth, the newborns were wrapped in blankets provided by a passerby. Kyro spent two days in intensive care due to low blood sugar before both babies were discharged in good health. The twins are now home with their family after a dramatic start to life. Kyro recovered well from his brief stay in intensive care, and both boys continue to thrive. Their mother’s quick thinking and the help of a stranger ensured a safe outcome despite the unexpected circumstances.
