Northern Kentucky Health Department serves 14,700+ in 2024 public health push

Food safety remained a key focus for the department in 2024. Inspectors checked nearly 1,700 food establishments, ensuring compliance with health standards. They also monitored 700 temporary food booths at local fairs and festivals.

The department continued its public health initiatives beyond inspections. It issued 843 nicotine replacement vouchers to help people quit smoking. Support for families came through the WIC programme, which provides nutritious food to eligible residents.
