Two off-duty National Police officers saved a three-year-old boy's life in Alicante after he stopped breathing. The child's airway was blocked by a swollen tongue, leaving him unresponsive and struggling for air. Quick action from the officers revived him before he was rushed to General Hospital for further care.

The incident began when the officers spotted a distressed mother holding her limp child. The boy's lips had turned blue, and he showed no signs of response. His swollen tongue was completely blocking his airway, making it impossible for him to breathe properly.

Without hesitation, the officers performed emergency airway-clearing manoeuvres. Within minutes, they successfully revived the child. Paramedics then transported him to Hospital Universitario de San Juan de Alicante, a specialist facility affiliated with Miguel Hernández University.

The hospital, located in San Juan de Alicante, provides advanced medical care, including paediatric and emergency services. Doctors will continue monitoring the boy's condition following the near-fatal incident.

The boy is now under observation at the hospital. The officers' rapid response prevented a tragedy, allowing the child to receive the urgent medical attention he needed. Authorities have not released further details on his current condition.
