An Asian ready-to-eat meal, Topokki, Sweet & Spicy, has been recalled in Germany due to high levels of bacterial contamination. The product, which is a popular factor meal, poses a risk of food poisoning, with symptoms including nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
The recall was issued by importer Kreyenhop & Kluge GmbH & Co. KG, based in Oyten, Lower Saxony. It affects three specific batches with best-before dates of February 13, 2027; March 10, 2027; and April 15, 2027.
Consumers have been warned not to eat the meal. Instead, they should return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund.
Authorities, including the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL), are spreading the alert. Updates appear on official websites like verbraucherzentrale.de and rückruf24.de, as well as through social media, newsletters and in-store posters.
