Right2Grow programme concludes with high-level ceremony in Dhaka

A closing ceremony for the Right2Grow programme took place on Monday in Dhaka. The event gathered government officials, development partners, and community leaders at Hotel Le Méridien. Senior figures from multiple sectors attended to mark the programme's conclusion.

The ceremony was organised by the Right2Grow country consortium, led by Max Foundation Bangladesh. ATM Tariqul Islam, chairperson of the Right2Grow steering committee and country director of Max Foundation Bangladesh, addressed the attendees. Special guests included Annelies Kanis, global lead of the Right2Grow consortium and country director of The Hunger Project Netherlands, as well as Osman Haruni, senior policy adviser from the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Md Saidur Rahman, secretary of the health and family welfare ministry, served as the chief guest. Other key participants were Md Rizwanur Rahman, director general of the Bangladesh National Nutrition Council, and Badiul Alam Majumder, member of the National Consensus Commission. Kh Md Nazmul Huda Shamim, joint secretary of the local government division, was also present. The event brought together representatives from UN agencies, the private sector, and civil society. Community leaders from programme areas joined discussions on the initiative's impact.

The ceremony highlighted the collaboration between government bodies, international partners, and local stakeholders. Right2Grow's work in Bangladesh involved cross-sector efforts to address development challenges. The programme's closure marks the end of a coordinated push for multi-sectoral growth in the country.
