A new federal health initiative called Health for All will roll out across Russia from January 1, 2026. The programme will modernise Health Centers nationwide, with a focus on long-term patient care rather than one-off consultations. In the Habarovsk Region, clinics will shift to a personalised support system targeting key risk factors like obesity, poor diet, and smoking.

Under the old system, patients received a single health screening and brief advice. The updated approach will place them under dispensary supervision for a full year, with a dedicated doctor guiding their progress. Those struggling with weight will get tailored nutrition plans, including weekly menus, to cut down on excess simple carbohydrates—a common but often overlooked cause of weight gain.

Follow-up checks will track progress at set intervals. Three months after the first visit, patients will have a telemedicine consultation to review their plan and make adjustments. A second weigh-in at six months will provide an objective measure of success.

Beyond weight management, the programme will tackle other high-risk behaviours. Doctors will work with patients to address low physical activity, tobacco use, and harmful alcohol consumption. While details on the number of Habarovsk clinics adopting the system—or specific testing phases—remain unclear, the shift marks a move toward continuous, individualised care.

The Health for All project will bring structured, year-long support to patients starting in 2026. Regular check-ins and customised plans aim to improve outcomes for issues like obesity and smoking. The changes apply to all Health Centers in the Habarovsk Region, though exact implementation details are still pending.
