Sverdlovsk Region Welcomes 634 Newborns in a Single Week

The Sverdlovsk Region recorded a busy week for new arrivals, with 634 babies born in just seven days. Health officials confirmed the figures but noted that no comparisons with last year's birth rates are currently available.

Among the newborns, 329 were boys and 305 were girls. The total also included nine sets of twins.

Most mothers, 444 in all, were under 35 years old. Another 181 women gave birth after the age of 35. One mother welcomed her eighth child, while 188 babies were second children for their families.

The latest figures highlight a period of high birth activity in the region. However, officials have not yet released data on how this compares to the same period in previous years.
