Tottenham Entrepreneur Lands £100K Deal for Sea Moss Brand on The Den

Rome Haghighat, an entrepreneur from Tottenham, secured a major investment on The Den for his sea moss wellness brand. The 2024 pitch saw him receive offers from all four male Dragons, plus guest judge Tinie Tempah. His business, which sells tempeh, gels, and soaps, impressed the panel with its potential and his personal story.

Haghighat entered The Den seeking £100,000 in exchange for 10% of his company. He presented gel-infused juices to the Dragons, who quickly took interest. The brand, launched in 2024, focuses on sea moss-based products for beauty, detox, and fitness. Haghighat explained how he used sea moss during his Muay Thai career to manage inflammation.

All four male Dragons—alongside guest judge Tinie Tempah—made identical offers: £33,333 each for 10% equity. Steven Jones praised Haghighat's background and the taste of his drink. Ultimately, Haghighat accepted a combined deal from Steven Jones, Steven Bartlett, and Tinie Tempah, giving up 21% of his business.

The agreement includes a clause allowing Haghighat to reduce the Dragons' equity to 21% if he repays the full investment within 24 months. His first-year revenue reached £55,000, with an £8,000 profit. Despite the early success, no public data exists on the UK market demand for sea cucumber-based wellness products, suggesting the sector remains niche or undeveloped.

Haghighat left The Den with £100,000 and three high-profile backers. The deal's terms give him flexibility to regain full control if he repays the funds quickly. His brand now has the resources to expand, though its long-term success will depend on consumer interest in sea moss supplements.
