Transbaikal Region launches its first dietary supplement factory by 2026

A new dietary supplement factory is set to open in the Transbaikal Region. This marks the first time the area will produce such news, with plans to manufacture collagen, vitamins, and L-carnitine by 2026. The project has already secured regional funding and aims to create local jobs.

The Transbaikal Region has launched its first-ever dietary supplement production line. A new resident of the Transbaikal Advanced Development Territory (ADT) will lead the project, focusing on collagen, vitamins, and L-carnitine. No foreign or Russian company has yet been named as a partner for the venture.

The initiative received financial backing from the regional Industrial Development Fund under its 'Food Industry' programme. This fund supports local manufacturers through nine preferential loan schemes. Once operational, the facility will employ 20 people.

The finished supplements will be supplied to federal retail chains and pharmacies across Russia. Production is expected to begin in 2026, filling a gap in the region's manufacturing sector.

The new facility will introduce dietary supplement production to the Transbaikal Region for the first time. With 20 jobs on offer and distribution planned for national retailers, the project aims to boost local industry. Regional funding has already been secured to support its development.
