IT Outage: Operations Restricted at Wiesbaden Hospital - Wiesbaden hospital halts emergency admissions after major IT crash

St. Joseph's Hospital in Wiesbaden has suspended emergency admissions due to a major IT failure. The issue affects the entire facility, though existing patients continue to receive full treatment. Hospital management has confirmed the problem is internal and not caused by a cyberattack.

The disruption was first reported on Friday, forcing the hospital to turn away new emergency cases. Patients already inside the building remain unaffected, with staff ensuring their care continues as normal. Emergency surgeries can still take place if needed, but scheduled weekend procedures are proceeding without changes.

Managing director Martin Bosch clarified that the outage stems from an internal technical fault rather than external interference. Teams are working non-stop to resolve the issue and restore full operations. Until then, the hospital has asked the public to avoid its emergency department and labour ward.

For urgent medical needs, residents are advised to visit nearby hospitals or contact emergency services directly. The city of Wiesbaden will release further updates once the situation is under control.

The hospital remains closed to new emergency admissions until the IT systems are fixed. Scheduled surgeries and ongoing treatments continue without interruption. Management has requested patience while technicians address the problem.
