Yakutsk's cutting-edge SMART clinic opens with 55,000-patient capacity

Yakutsk’s new SMART outpatient clinic officially opened its doors on November 24, 2022. The modern facility spans 8,800 square meters across five floors and is designed to serve up to 55,000 registered patients. The clinic was constructed by the VIS Group as part of a public-private partnership. Funding came largely from Gazprombank, which covered 60% of the project’s costs. Under the agreement, the VIS Group will also maintain the building’s engineering systems until 2030.

The facility includes a wide range of medical services under one roof. These cover adult and paediatric outpatient care, a women’s health centre, diagnostic and treatment units, a laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation, and an urgent care room. A day hospital and a call centre are also part of the setup.

Advanced features like four elevators, climate control, and high-security systems ensure smooth operations. The clinic can manage up to 600 patient visits per shift. Additionally, an emergency medical substation will start working on-site the day after the opening. The new clinic expands healthcare access in Yakutsk with its modern infrastructure and broad medical services. Its capacity and technology aim to improve efficiency and patient care for years to come.
