ZeroHarm Sciences raises ₹65 Cr to revolutionize plant-based health supplements globally
Hyderabad-based nutrition startup ZeroHarm Sciences has secured ₹65 Cr ($7.2 Mn) in a fresh funding round. The investment will help the company expand its operations and enter new markets. Founded in 2020, the startup specialises in plant-based health supplements using advanced nano-formulation technology.
The funding round was led by Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited and Alkemi Growth Capital. Kotak Alternate contributed ₹40 Cr through its Life Sciences Fund I, while Alkemi Growth Capital invested ₹25 Cr.
ZeroHarm Sciences was established by Sachin and Shweta Darbarwar in Berlin before relocating to Hyderabad. Since its launch, the company has grown steadily, increasing its workforce from 5 employees in 2021 to 25 in 2023 and reaching around 45 by 2026.
The startup claims full control over its production chain, from sourcing medicinal plants to extraction and manufacturing. Its product range includes over 60 supplements for diabetes management, heart health, and performance nutrition. These are sold through its own website and major ecommerce platforms.
With the new funds, ZeroHarm Sciences plans to strengthen its research and manufacturing capabilities. A portion will also go toward building a 'Trust over Promise' platform, designed to prove supplement effectiveness through measurable health results. Expansion into international markets, including the US, UK, and Middle East, is also on the agenda.
The company reports having served over 3 lakh customers to date.
The ₹65 Cr investment will support ZeroHarm Sciences' growth in India and abroad. Funds will be allocated to research, manufacturing, and a new platform to validate product benefits. The startup aims to strengthen its position in the plant-based supplement market.
